Ultramarine and other blues
Blue comes in a variety of pigments, including ultramarine, cobalt, and turquoise. My favourite blue is turquoise, but I use all of them in paintings and drawings.
Blue is considered to be the favourite colour of most people...I am not one of them. 😏
But here are a few blues from watercolour paints, pens, and markers in my art and craft material stash.

I like all colors, but (grass) green is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteGreen is the one colour that challenge all beginning artists because the pigments in paint do not reflect the real colours of nature. But I love mixing greens, and one of my favourite natural colours.
DeleteOrange to wear, purple to look at. Although, I like to think in color combos. I find it fascinating that blue was the last color to be named.
ReplyDeleteOrange and brown were my mom's favourite colours, but they don't suit me at all. I love painting with orange though. And yes, it is fascinating how the colours were named. 💜
