Yesterday, we arrived at the halfway point for #the100dayproject, and tomorrow, we will reach the same point for this blog challenge.
We challenge ourselves to learn something new or to expand our skillset. The question I am asking myself at this point is: what did I learn so far?
The answer to that question is two-fold:
- A daily practice of art or creative writing helps to get things done. Projects that take time can be finished earlier than planned.
- I have also learned to improve how I manage my time because of this commitment.
This doesn't mean that I am happy that I had to change it. Lesson learned. I love large and complex art projects, and I will take this lesson with me when I work on the next one.
Until tomorrow!

PS: Just scroll back one post, if you are curious about the Raven project I mentioned.
I like to work on projects continously but I think it's better to do a bit at a one because the rush to finish can sometimes make you make mistakes. I wish I can be better at managing my time but sadly, I'm not good at keeping a schedule even when I have the time.
ReplyDeleteYour raven drawing looks good. If you don't tell people, who would know the mistakes? I suppose we are prone to perfecting things, like many creatives, there is a new to make things just the way we want.
Have a lovely day.
I've learned that you cannot manage your time. [Mind management, not time management by David Kadavy]. Maybe next time I should blog about the books I've learned from over the years. On the drawing: Thank you, Lissa. 😊 You're right about not telling people. But the trick is not to show them the reference image 😉
DeleteWhat did I learn so far is a good focus for this halfway point. Thank you for getting me thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteHi Maria, I also needed to have a think about where I stand since I am doing two challenges at the same time. I am happy to hear that my musings were helpful to you. Thank you for stopping by! 💜
