Cheating the Muse - Letter G

Hey there, creative!

Today, we are getting practical. And it has worked for me many times in the past. It is my go-to for #the100dayproject when things are not working out, and I don't have the time or the energy to do a "project". So, I go small.

In some instances, small is time. Five minutes tops. Other times, it is literally a paragraph in the manuscript I am writing.

Or the tiniest sketchbook I have, where drawing anything bigger than half a credit card is physically impossible. Yup, I have really tiny sketchbooks for just that reason.

I also have tiny palettes but for a completely different reason. LOL!

Until tomorrow!

  1. I find go small can be really helpful. I deliberately commit to doing #100DayProject with the intention of using the time it takes for my morning pot of coffee to run to pick up a paintbrush and do a small watercolor. Often that's enough of a warm up to get me working on a bigger creative project, but if not, I'm happy to have done a single postcard-sized bit of art. Your tiny sketchbook is fabulous, as is your petite paint set.

    1. Thank you, Deborah. I collect tiny palettes, but not just for display. You're right about getting a small painting done. If there is no time the rest of the day, you still feel that something has been accomplished.
